Privacy Policy
AVR Controller does not automatically collect, store, transmit, or share any personal information.
The app communicates over the network only to control a compatible AV receiver on your local network. It does not automatically collect your name, email address, location, advertising identifiers, or other device identifiers.
No third-party analytics SDKs, advertising SDKs, or tracking technologies are used.
Local Network Information
Connection details such as your AVR's IP address are stored only on your own device (in Settings). They are never sent to the developer or to any external server.
Exception: Sending Feedback
Using Settings → "Send Feedback" (called "Report a Problem" in earlier versions) in the app creates a public Issue on GitHub for bug reports or feature requests. When you use this feature:
- What gets sent is the title/body text you write, plus basic device diagnostics (app version, OS name and version, device model, language). Network information such as IP addresses is never included.
- You can review and edit the content before sending.
- This content is published publicly on GitHub. Please do not include personal information (such as your email address) that you don't want made public.
- The report may be sent through a Cloudflare Worker operated for AVR Controller and then forwarded to GitHub. If the Worker is unavailable or not configured, the app opens GitHub's Issue form in your browser with the report prefilled.
- Outside of this feature, the app does not send data to the developer or an external service.
Supporting Development (In-App Purchase)
- "Support Development" purchases are processed by Apple's App Store. The developer never receives your payment information.
- The fact that you have tipped (only the date of your first tip) is stored in your device's keychain. If iCloud Keychain is on, it syncs across devices signed in to the same Apple ID. Amounts and counts are not stored.
- If you have tipped and send feedback with "Send as a Supporter" turned on, the public issue gets a "supporter" label. Turn it off and no label is added.
